My Dad called about 20 minutes after I posted my last blog so here is the update!
Mom's surgery went well and the obstruction is not cancer. She had her appendix removed MANY years ago and apparently scar tissue had formed then attached to her bowel causing it to kink and, there you have it, bowel obstruction. They had to remove about a foot of her bowel but, they were able to reconnect it so she shouldn't have any more problems.
I'm just so glad things went well and now she's on the road to recovery. I'll keep you posted on how she is doing. Hope everyone is having a great night!
Glad to hear the surgery went well and it isn't anything more serious. I agree it's hard to live far away and have these things happen.
